Making A Purchase Making a purchase is quick and easy. Browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you've finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Electron Solo and American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
Shipping And Handling Shipping costs are calculated on a total packed weight basis and destination basis.
At present we can only deliver to the UK and Southern Ireland. Shipping to these destinations is calculated as per the following schedules:

Delivery Schedule We aim to dispatch packages within 24 hours of receiving your order. For orders placed in the mornings, Monday to Friday, we aim to dispatch packages the same day, subject to availability. This does not, however, guarantee next day delivery but the majority of our parcels arrive next working day or within 2 working days. Deliveries to Southern Ireland are usually received within 3 working days.
We regret that we can accept no liability for delays caused by factors outside of our control. These would include delays by the shipping company we have used and would include delays caused by technical difficulties on our website which may result in a delay in us receiving your order. |

Cancelling an order
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website within 7 days or receiving our order confirmation email. If we have not yet dispatched the goods, we will cancel your order and make an immediate repayment. You can cancel an order by emailing orders [at] birdscaring [dot] co [dot] uk or telephoning us on 01223 88 22 22.
Returning an item
When cancelling your order, if you have already received the goods you will need to make the return within 30 days. Once we have received your goods, we will credit you with the value of the returned goods, subject to the goods being received in a condition being satisfactory to Michael Williams Engineering Ltd.
If you are returning an item because of an error made on our part or because it is defective, we will be more than happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the goods to you and your costs in returning it to us. If you are returning an item that is non-defective or because you ordered it in error, you will be responsible for delivery charges in connection with your purchase and the return will be subject to a restocking fee of 15% of the net value of the returned goods.
To return an item, you must first contact us to obtain a RMA number. Send the goods to the address below quoting your order number, RMA number and reason for cancellation and/or return e.g. defective items. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.
